With the Easter holidays here parents all across the country will no doubt know all about the need to find a way to entertain the kids while they are home from school. Thankfully, there are always some brilliant holiday clubs run all across Watford to keep kids active and busy during the break. Holiday clubs such as the one being run by our local tennis club here in Watford which is running a week long tennis program for kids, complete with a mini tournament at the end of the 5 day long training club.
The club got in touch with Hog Roast Watford a while ago with the knowledge that they would be running this club and tournament. To mark the final tournament and give the kids something extra as a reward for coming along all week, they hired the Hog Roast Watford team to provide some catering for the kids to be enjoyed immediately after the tournament. We are only all too happy to oblige.
The Hog Roast Watford team has been prepping our menu to help fuel the next generation of Andy Murray’s and Emma Raducanu’s that this holiday club is sure to find. With it being Easter we are hoping that the weather will be good enough for a barbecue for the kid’s to enjoy, as we can’t think of much else better to celebrate the end of their tournament than with some sausage rolls, burgers, chips, and salad. The tennis club of course has some excellent grounds right next to its clubhouse to allow us the space to safely grill our foods while the kids are out on the courts, but failing the weather we can always set up our marquee tent or even use the clubhouse itself to still be able to enjoy this Spring sizzler.
We’ll of course be joining at the end of this gruelling training week for the kids, so we can’t wait to see how sharpened their skills are by then and the show that they can put out on the court for the tournament. Our Hog Roast Watford chefs may even be tempted to get out on the courts for a game or two as well, if they’re lucky….
